When Starter is full
It evicts, it doesn't fail. Starter holds 192 MB of keys in memory and nothing on disk. Once it's full, each new write pushes out the least recently used keys (allkeys-lru), and a restart empties it. That suits caches, rate limits and sessions you can rebuild, not queues or the only copy of your data. Set noeviction instead and writes fail with an OOM error when it's full.
Where we fall short
Single node.
There is no replica and no automatic failover. If the node restarts, your instance is down until it is back.
No backups during the preview.
On any plan. Casual and Pro keep an append-only file that survives restarts, but that is not a backup.
No SLA yet.
We run it carefully, but nothing is guaranteed in writing during the preview.
Paid plans aren't live.
Casual and Pro can't be created yet, and their prices are provisional.
No CLI or Terraform provider yet.
You manage instances in the dashboard, over the REST API, or with an agent over MCP.
